After a long winter, it is time to say goodbye to hibernation and say welcome spring!Colours, fresh air, and flowers – it is like everything comes to life again – it is a fresh start.

We want to open things up and let the air inside.  We clean and declutter with great purpose. It feels good.  But what about shuffling things around? Moving the furniture and reorganizing closets? Yes, why not?
If the budget doesn’t allow painting or renovations, SHUFFLING is a great option to make changes and feel refreshed, without dipping into the budget.

Why do we SHUFFLE on a regular basis?

Changes feel great – suddenly a whole new perspective comes over you.  You can even take it one step further and simplify; remove excess/unused furniture.

Cleaning time becomes more productive and easier – because you get 2 for 1 – move it, clean under and around it, and you are done!

Leverage solar power – your couch is a solar heat collector so move it close to window for Fall & Winter, and maybe further away in the Spring & Summer.  Dare to try new spots in the room.  Forget the rules you imagine dictate where things should be placed!

Save your flooring – avoid light damage and wear patterns on flooring and furniture.

Donate Extra Furniture
Remember there are more places than curbside and garage sales for items you are purging.  For example:

Habitat for Humanity - Habitat for Humanity ReStore accepts donations from salvageable building materials to electronic waste, to furniture.  See www.hfhrestore.com for what they can receive. Mississauga Store 4500 Dixie Road Open Mon-Sat 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Armagh House – This organization has a second-stage housing (and furnishings) program for abused women and children.  www.armaghouse.ca / armagh@rogers.com   905-855-0299

It is time to Invest in REAL Life in a new way.  Shake off the SNUFFLES and refresh yourself – it is SPRING INTO ACTION TIME!
